Toyota GR Yaris AWD 2021 Radio Review

GR Yaris Performance Bargain

Toyota launched its stunning 200kW GR Yaris, in November 2020, a pure performance car with deep motorsport roots.

The new super-hot hatch is already a sales success with the first run completely sold out with some special driveaway pricing.

Toyota GR Yaris.  GR Yaris performance comes from a new 200kW/370Nm 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine – the world’s most powerful mass-produced three-cylinder engine.

Along with an all-new platform, unique three-door body, aerodynamic styling and a new GR-FOUR permanent all-wheel drive system, GR Yaris has an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 156kW/tonne and sprints from 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.

Driving the GR Yaris is an experience, it has a fairly heavy clutch as you would expect, but it also seems to have an abundance of power available in all gears and seems to scream at the driver to go and go faster.

In a world that is increasingly homogenised with boring cars, the GR Yaris priced from $49,500 plus the usual costs, oozes personality and is a welcome breath of fresh air for true motoring enthusiasts.
