Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series GR Sport at Snow 2022 Review

GR Sport – We just got back from a week long holiday in the snow and one of the cars we took was the LandCruiser 300 series GR Sport.

Now this is taking a trip in luxury.

Obviously the permanent 4WD system means that we didn’t have to take snow chains and the Kinetic suspension, front and rear diff locks, adaptive variable suspension and 5 mode driver select function meant that we were prepared for the worst if that should happen.

Inside its comfort all the way. Heated front and outer rear seats meant that we were all nice and cozy with temperatures near zero outside.

No complaints about the new V6 diesel engine and 10 speed transmission as we cruised effortlessly along the freeway. Economy wasn’t bad at around 10l/100k for the drive there and back. Ride is smooth and compliant and the handling on the GR Sport is the best amongst all the LandCruiser variants.

With a five seat configuration there was heaps of room in the back for all our luggage, and we took some believe me with all the extra gear needed for a snow trip.

Our trip was totally relaxed, no hurry as we stopped a number of times along the way for coffee, lunch, tuning snow boards and renting skis and boots.
