Hyundai’s Hat-Trick of Awards

Hyundai Small CarHyundai Motor Company takes home more awards than any other manufacturer at the AJAC Canadian Car of the Year Awards. Hyundai has announced the all-new Hyundai Accent, Elantra and Veloster have been named ‘Best New Small Car under $21,000’, ‘Best New Small Car over $21,000’, and ‘Best New Sports/Performance Car under $50,000’, respectively.

The all-new Accent, Elantra, and Veloster were among 60 new models tested across 11 categories during an intensive one-week event known as Test Fest. AJAC jurors evaluate each new vehicle based on a broad list of characteristics including quality, refinement, dynamic performance and fuel economy among others.

The regimented testing method employed by AJAC for their Car of the Year awards is among the most thorough and transparent in the world.

The vehicles are evaluated in back-to-back assessments, with the results offering genuine relevance for car buyers. The rigorous testing program includes “real world” driving on public roads – exactly where consumers drive. Every vehicle is compared on the same roads, under the same conditions to ensure objective evaluation with a rating 1-10 applied to each measured criteria.
