Introducing the rugged yet refined all-new Hyundai SANTA FE, designed to merge outdoor adventure with everyday life, in a spacious and well-equipped family SUV.

All-new SANTA FE was designed around the ‘Open for More’ concept, which drew on research revealing a high level of interest in outdoor activities among Millennial and Generation-X customers.

Hyundai SANTA FE quick highlights

The ‘Open for More’ concept seeks to connect the inside with the outside, to expand customers’ everyday experiences. In all-new SANTA FE, this is characterised by spacious second- and third-row seating, and a roomy, practical cargo area – all made possible by an extended wheelbase, efficient packaging, and an enlarged tailgate opening.

All-new SANTA FE features a Panoramic Curved Display incorporating 12.3-inch digital cluster and infotainment displays, the convenience of Bluelink® Connected Car Services and Over-The-Air (OTA) remote software update capability, and a comprehensive SmartSense^TM safety suite.

Highlights among the driver assistance and active safety features in all-new SANTA FE are the second-generation technologies Highway Driving Assist (HDA2), Forward Collision Assist (FCA2), and Lane Following Assist (LFA2).

Premium comfort and convenience features in all-new SANTA FE include a first for Hyundai Bilateral Multi-Console storage space, which is easily accessible for both front and rear occupants, an intuitive 6.6-inch climate control display, and high-speed, dual wireless smartphone charging.

Calligraphy variants also feature First-row Relaxation Seating with Leg Rests, power-reclining second-row captain’s chairs (6 seat option), a Digital Centre Mirror, and an innovative UV-C Sterilisation Tray that eliminates bacteria from personal items.

All-new SANTA FE is available now in economical Hybrid form, with a muscular 2.5T-GDi powertrain set to join the line up in late Q4 2024.

Exterior 

All-new SANTA FE introduces a bold and robust design featuring rectangular surfacing and H-shaped design elements to convey a confident presence that’s equally at home in the urban jungle and the great outdoors.

With an enlarged tailgate opening and a long wheelbase, all-new SANTA FE reflects its rugged yet sophisticated image with the cabin space and versatility to underpin an adventurous lifestyle.

All-new SANTA FE creates an impressive visage with an elevated, level bonnet line, H-shaped headlamp signature, and precision-detailed fenders. The H-shaped headlamps and lower front valance draw inspiration from the new flat-profile Hyundai logo.

A crisp side profile featuring clean sculpting is complemented by a flat roofline, generous fender volumes, robust wheel arches, a short front overhang, and striking 20-alloy wheels.

A Hidden-type Assist Handle, located in the C-pillar, improves roof access for maximum outdoor functionality (Calligraphy variant).

From the rear, all-new SANTA FE’s wide tailgate conveys stability while applying simple sculptural surfacing. H-shaped taillamps complement the front view.

All-new SANTA FE is available in 10 exterior colours including the standard Creamy White mica and Terracotta Orange (solid).

Premium mica colours include Abyss Black, Pebble Blue and Cyber Sage, and premium metallic colours include Typhoon Silver, Magnetic Force and Ocado Green.

Creamy White and Earthy Brass are offered in matte finish.

Calligraphy variants feature a blacked-out treatment comprising black badging, wheels, and body cladding, to create a stylish monochromatic image.

Interior 

All-new SANTA FE’s interior complements the exterior design language by echoing the horizontal and vertical design elements.

An H-shaped design motif is applied to the upper instrument panel and air vents, enhancing the sense of openness while creating a cohesive design balance.

The interior is headlined by a Panoramic Curved Display, which incorporates 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment displays, for ease of viewing and a premium ambience.

All-new SANTA FE brings a spacious family-focused cabin with a larger, more versatile cargo area. Fully folding second- and third-row seats bring maximum benefit from the longer wheelbase to provide ample legroom and create a terrace-like space at the rear tailgate opening.

The tailgate opening is 145mm wider than that of the preceding model and complements a larger cargo capacity, so there is ample space for everyday items as well as bulky sports equipment and camping gear.

All-new SANTA FE brings best-in-class third-row comfort, with extra headroom (up 60mm) and legroom (up 50mm), a raised cushion (up 30mm), a 10-degree backrest recline and enlarged side windows.

All-new SANTA FE has a total of four ISOFIX and five top tether mounting points, including IOSFIX and top tether mounting points for the third-row seats.

Eco-friendly materials are used for many of the soft surfaces in all-new SANTA FE, such as the headliner, seatbacks, and the instrument panel, door trim and seat coverings.

All-new SANTA FE is available with upholstery in Obsidian Black cloth, Obsidian Black or Supersonic Gray leather, and Black Ink, Forest Green or Pecan Brown Nappa leather.

Engine and drivetrain options 

All-new SANTA FE is available with two SmartStream technology powertrains to suit a range of large SUV buyers. Both are available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

SmartStream G2.5T-GDi (available from late Q4 2024)

The potent SmartStream 2.5 T-GDi engine produces 206kW and 422Nm and is mated to an 8-speed wet dual clutch transmission.

SmartStream 1.6T-GDi Hybrid

All-new SANTA FE Hybrid is powered by a petrol/electric hybrid system featuring a 1.6-litre T-GDi Smartstream engine and a 44.2 kW electric motor, drawing power from a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery.

The Hybrid powertrain produces 172kW and 367Nm and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, to maximise efficiency.

The electric motor and petrol engine work together seamlessly to deliver ample torque where it is most needed, while maximising efficiency and minimising CO₂ emissions, to provide a smooth, quiet and eco-friendly driving experience.

The level of regenerative braking in all-new SANTA FE Hybrid can be adjusted in 3 steps using the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, giving the driver greater braking control and the ability to improve fuel efficiency across a range of driving conditions.

e-Motion Drive

All-new SANTA FE Hybrid features e-Motion Drive, a new electric-Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control system.

e-Motion Drive brings optimal handling, stability and dynamic driving performance, by alleviating the instability that can be caused by traction loss of an inner wheel as a result of the weight transfer across the vehicle during cornering.

Hybrid vehicle display

All-new SANTA FE Hybrid features a dedicated hybrid information display for both the multimedia unit and the instrument cluster.

The cluster features a charge/power gauge, battery charge level indicator, and regenerative braking information.

The multimedia unit adds graphs for fuel economy and electric motor use, and a dynamic infographic indicating whether the system is in electric mode, petrol mode or whether the battery is being charged.

An innovative bi-directional centre console design in all-new SANTA FE enhances convenience by letting both front and second-row occupants easily open the console to access stored items.

Relaxation Comfort Front Seats with zero gravity position

Driver’s 14-way and passenger’s 8-way ‘Relaxation’ zero gravity front comfort seats provide the perfect place to rest and relax on a long trip, and feature in Calligraphy variant.

By adjusting to a ‘zero-gravity’ position, the seats let occupants relieve the fatigue and discomfort that can develop after sitting in the same position for a long period of time.

The seats promote a ‘weightless’ posture by distributing pressure specifically around the body to provide maximum comfort and rejuvenation when taking a break on a drive.

Shift By Wire (SBW)

All-new SANTA FE’s Shift By Wire (SBW) drive selection stalk is mounted on the steering column, freeing space and bringing additional storage for front occupants.

The new, column-mounted stalk brings intuitive operation – a twist forwards selects Drive; backward selects Reverse, and Park is engaged with a press of the button on the end of the stalk – to deliver an enhanced user experience.

Shift By Wire is standard in every all-new SANTA FE variant.

Smart Power Tailgate

All-new SANTA FE features a height- and speed-adjustable Smart Power Tailgate in every variant. For maximum convenience, the tailgate can be opened remotely using the smart key or by simply standing near the tailgate with the key for a few seconds, which is useful in situations where users have their hands full, such as when carrying shopping bags.

BOSE™ premium audio

A high-performance BOSE™ premium audio system features in all-new SANTA FE Elite and Calligraphy and includes an external multi-channel amplifier, a front centre midrange speaker, and a subwoofer.

12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster

A high-definition 12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster is standard in every variant, and presents the driver with information such as turn-by-turn satellite navigation directions (Elite and Calligraphy variants), and visual alerts from SmartSense™ safety systems including a Blind-Spot View Monitor live video feed, in addition to the speedometer, tachometer, fuel and temperature displays.

The cluster theme is user-configurable to suit the driver’s preferences with options including ‘Classic’ mode, which presents needle-type gauges, and a ‘Simple’ digital theme.

In addition, Hybrid variants can display either a power gauge or a tachometer, depending on the drive mode selected.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 (FCA 2)

The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system warns if the vehicle ahead suddenly slows, or if it detects the risk of collision with a vehicle, a pedestrian, or a cyclist. If the driver does not respond to warnings by taking evasive action, the system automatically assists by applying the brakes.

Featuring in more advanced, second-generation form, FCA2 operates across a broader range of driving situations, including:

Junction Turning

With the right indicator activated at an intersection, the system monitors for collision risks with oncoming vehicles in the adjacent lane. If a collision risk is detected while initiating a left right, the system will issue a warning. If the collision risk increases after the warning, the system will provide automatic braking assistance.

Working speed: 10-30km/h

Target vehicle speed: 30-70km/h

Junction Crossing

The system monitors for collision risks with vehicles approaching from the left and right sides when preparing to cross an intersection. If a collision risk is detected while moving off, the system will issue a warning. If the collision risk increases after the warning, the system will provide automatic braking assistance.

Working speed: 10-55km/h

Crossing vehicle speed: 10-60km/h (Warning) / 10-40km/h (Braking)

Lane-Change Oncoming

The system monitors for collision risks with oncoming vehicles when preparing to change lanes. If a collision risk is detected while initiating a lane change, the system will issue a warning. If the collision risk increases after the warning, the system will provide automatic steering assistance.

Target vehicle speed: 10-200km/h

Direct Oncoming

The system monitors for collision risks with oncoming vehicles from the opposite side of the driving path, issuing a warning if a collision risk is detected. If the collision risk increases after the warning, the system will provide automatic braking assistance.

Oncoming vehicle speed: 10-140km/h

Lane-Change Side

Warns if the risk of collision with a preceding vehicle in the next lane while changing lanes is detected and automatically assists steering if the risk of collision increases after warning.

Driver Steering Assist

The system monitors for collision risks with a vehicle, pedestrian, or cyclist in front of the vehicle, issuing a warning if a collision risk is detected. If the collision risk increases after the warning, the system will provide automatic steering assistance.

Working speed: 40-85km/h

Working target: Vehicle, Pedestrian or Cyclist

Auto Evasive Steering Assist

The system monitors for collision risks with a vehicle, pedestrian, or cyclist in front of the vehicle, issuing a warning if a collision risk is detected. If the collision risk increases after the warning, the system will automatically provide evasive steering input where there is space to avoid the collision within the driving lane.

Evasive Steering Assist

The system monitors for collision risks with vehicles approaching from the rear. If a collision risk is detected while initiating a lane change, the system will issue a warning. If the collision risk increases after the warning, the system will provide automatic steering assistance.

Working speed: 40-145km/h

Lane recognition: Both lines of lane

Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA)

If a collision risk is detected in the vehicle’s blind-spot area while initiating a lane change or exiting a parallel parking space, the system will issue a warning. If the collision risk increases after the warning, the system will apply automatic braking assistance.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)

When driving without the turn signals activated, the system automatically applies corrective steering input to prevent the vehicle from drifting out of the lane.

Safe Exit Assist (SEA)

If a vehicle is approaching, or within all-new SANTA FE’s blind-spot area while parked, the system will keep the doors locked and warn occupants to check their surroundings.

Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA)

Provides audible and visual warnings when the vehicle exceeds the detected speed limit. In addition, ISLA can assist in updating the Smart Cruise Control set speed to the posted speed limit when a speed limit change is detected.

Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM)

Presents the driver with live video of the left and right blind spot areas when the corresponding turn signal is activated. Compared with conventional side mirrors, BVM provides a viewing angle that is approximately twice as large.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW)

Analyses the driver’s attention level to audibly and visually warn the driver if the system senses that they are inattentive. In addition, the Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA) function provides audible and visual alerts to the driver in the event they did not notice the vehicle ahead driving away.

High Beam Assist (HBA)

Allows the vehicle to automatically activate the high beam headlights dependent on the level of ambient light and general illuminance, to improve visibility.

HBA will automatically switch to low beam when it detects the headlights of an oncoming car, or the taillights of a vehicle in front, to avoid dazzling other road users.

Smart Cruise Control (SCC)

Smart Cruise Control maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead while driving at a speed set by the driver, and brings the capability to automatically come to a stop, and then accelerate back to the set speed when required.

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control brings further SCC functionality to help maintain a safe speed on highways and motorways. The system recognises the vehicle ahead using the front-view camera and front radar, and determines the safe speed range for curves ahead using the navigation system. 

Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2)

In concert with the SCC and LFA systems, Highway Driving Assist 2 adjusts the steering and speed to keep all-new SANTA FE centred in the lane while maintaining a safe distance from the car ahead.

In addition, HDA2 can assist in changing lanes under certain conditions and can control the vehicle in response to the erratic manoeuvres of other drivers, to maintain a safe position on the road.

Lane Following Assist 2 (LFA2)

Lane Following Assist 2 automatically steers all-new SANTA FE to maintain its lane position by using the front-view camera to recognise lane markings. If the system does not detect lane markings it will use the vehicle ahead as a reference to help with steering for a certain period of time.

Parking Safety Features

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance (RCCA)

When reversing at low speeds, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance assist warns the driver when there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from the left or right. If the risk of collision increases after the warning, the system will automatically apply the brakes.

Parking Distance Warning (PDW F/S/R)

Parking Distance Warning provides a warning to avoid a collision with pedestrians or objects around the vehicle during low speed driving, such as when parking.

The addition of side parking sensors for all-new SANTA FE bring the capability for side guidance display.

Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance (PCA-R)

Parking Collision-avoidance Assist-Reverse warns the driver if there is the risk of collision with a pedestrian or object while reversing into or out of a parking space, and will assist with emergency braking if necessary to avoid a collision.

Surround View Monitor (SVM)

Surround View Monitor displays multiple views of all-new SANTA FE to assist with maneuvering, parking and driving. These include 360-degree view, 3D view and top view with tailgate guide-lines, as well as car wash entering mode, trailer connection mode, driving rear-view mode and more, all designed to maximise driver confidence and convenience.

Remote Smart Park Assist (RSPA)

Remote Smart Park Assist lets users park all-new SANTA FE from outside the vehicle. The system provides remote control of the steering, accelerator and drive selection, and automatically assists with braking when an object is detected in the vehicle’s path.

Rear Occupant Alert (ROA)

The Rear Occupant Alert system provides warnings to prevent the unintentional locking in or leaving behind of children or pets in all-new SANTA FE.

When active, the system detects the entry of occupants from the opening and closing of the rear doors. Upon parking and opening the driver’s door, ROA issues a warning chime and prompts the driver with a message to ‘Check rear seats’, to ensure rear occupants are not inadvertently left behind.
