BMW X3 xDrive30d Arrives

Topping the all-new X3 engine portfolio, BMW’s outstanding six-cylinder diesel arrives in showrooms ready to entice buyers with a wide-ranging list of standard features.

The X3 xDrive30d is the most highly specified model in the X3 line-up and with a Manufacturers List Price of $74,900*, highlights both a lower price and increased value over its predecessor.

Thanks to BMW EfficientDynamics technologies including Brake Energy Regeneration Automatic Start/Stop function and Electric Power Steering, the revised in-line six cylinder diesel in the BMW X3 xDrive30d represents the ideal combination of power and performance characteristics with the lowest fuel consumption and emissions in its class.

Fuel economy improves by 1.7l from 7.7 l/100km to 6.0 l/100km, and the reduction in CO² emissions is an impressive 47g/km from 206g/km to 159g/km. However at the same time, power output has been increased by 30kW to 190kW. Maximum torque is 560Nm, up by 60Nm on the previous model, and is developed from 2,000 to 2,750rpm, thus guaranteeing powerful pull even at low engine speeds.

Standard features such as the larger 18-inch light-alloy wheels, Automatic Tailgate Operation, X-Line Package, Nevada leather upholstery and electric seat adjustment distinguish the X3 xDrive30d over the four-cylinder X3 xDrive20d.

The X-Line Package is specifically designed to give customers enhanced exterior looks that further add value to the new diesel X3. It comprises of decorative mouldings for window frames in Aluminium satinated, Aluminium satinated side sills, front and rear bumpers with titanium look inserts and door sill with BMW designation.

Additional standard equipment on BMW’s new diesel X3 over the previous generation also includes Automatic Start/Stop function, Comfort Go, 8-speed automatic transmission, electric power steering with Servotronic, rear-view camera, USB interface, 40/20/40 split of rear seats, Radio Professional with 6.5” monitor and roof rails in Aluminium satinated.

Further to the extensive standard equipment lists, all BMW X3 models offer the ultimate in safety features. Each vehicle is fitted with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), active headrests and six airbags. In addition to these, all X3’s are equipped with a warning triangle and first aid kit.

The all new BMW X3 xDrive30d completes the ultimate mid-size luxury SUV line-up. Along with its siblings, the 6-cylinder diesel brings the perfect combination of value, power and efficiency to what is a highly competitive segment.
