The BMW 6 Series has long marked the intersection of the brand’s commitment to the premium motoring ideals of luxury, comfort and trademark driving dynamics.

These values have been reaffirmed with the arrival of the new BMW 6 Series range, the updated Convertible, Coupe and Gran Coupe body variants exuding the sporting grandeur, and aesthetic grace of their precursors.

Subtle refinements to the interior and exterior highlight the changes evident in the new BMW 6 Series, while ongoing chassis development and engineering has yielded advances in ride and handling.

Priced from $177,900* for the new BMW 6 Series Coupe, $184,900* for the new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe and $193,900* for the new BMW 6 Series Convertible, the updated range has been further enhanced by a substantially extended list of standard specification.

BMW Group Australia Chief Executive Officer Marc-Heinrich Werner said the boosted levels of specification, and unique possibilities afforded by the new BMW 6 Series will assist the model in building on the success of its forerunner.

“The BMW 6 Series range has proven a strong performer in the Australian market since the arrival of the second generation model in 2011,” Werner said.

“It is an expression of BMW luxury and driving performance, with the diversity of its body variants, and scope for personalisation standing the model apart within its market segment.

“Though the design changes are more evolutionary in nature, we are confident the updated fascia, and significantly increased levels of specification will ensure the new BMW 6 Series remains ever-present, and expands its footprint.”

Remaining grounded in its ‘one model, three characters’ design philosophy, the new BMW 6 Series features improvements and embellishments implemented to accentuate the sporting appeal of its variants.

BMW’s designers have achieved their ambition through the deployment of a reconfigured kidney grille and revised front and side aprons, emphasising the width of the body and its distinctive road presence.

The inclusion of Adaptive LED headlights embodies the fusion of technological advancement and aesthetic refinement characterising the model update, evoking the premium appeal inherent within the range.

With a full leather dashboard with contrast stitching already standard, high-quality surfaces, including a console finished in its entirety with a sophisticated glossy black pearl finish, heighten the exclusive ambience of the cabin, and provide a canvas for individualisation.

The exterior of the new BMW 6 Series is enhanced by the inclusion of four BMW Individual paint finishes as no-cost options.

BMW Individual paint finishes shine with their unique interplay of colours, while myriad pigments give surfaces three-dimensional depth that fills them with life.

Customers can select from Citrin Black, Ruby Black, Moonstone and Tanzanite Blue in addition to the range of existing metallic and non-metallic paintworks.

Handling has been sharpened by the further enhancing of suspension technology, allowing each model to showcase its individual qualities, striking a fine balance between dynamic potency and ride comfort, while a more emotive, dramatic engine note is achieved through a new sports exhaust for petrol variants.

The impending arrival of the new BMW 6 Series range continues the ongoing rejuvenation of the brand’s model offerings, strengthening the Bavarian marque’s top end offerings, alongside the revolutionary BMW i8, the BMW X5 M and X6 M performance duo, and upcoming technological and luxury motoring showcase, the all-new BMW 7 Series.
