Audi Q3 Sportback arrives in Australia

Q3 Sportback launch sees the arrival of the first Q3 40 TFSI quattro models. The first-ever Audi Q3 Sportback has arrived in Australia to extend the success of its sibling Q3, combining a fresh new design concept with the agile dynamics of a sports coupe.

The all-new Q3 Sportback has a distinctively sporty presence that is unique for its segment. Its coupe-like silhouette appears longer than its sister Q3 and almost 30 millimetres lower, affording a more masculine appearance and chiselled contours that line the wheel arches. Its sporty 19-inch alloy wheels allude to Audi’s iconic quattro motorsport heritage and come standard on the Q3 Sportback, alongside its S line exterior.

The interior design of the all-new Q3 Sportback offers luxurious comfort with a generous amount of space for passengers. The rear seat can be split 40:20:40, and slides fore/aft in a 130mm range. The luggage compartment can hold up to 530 litres (1,400 litres with the rear seats folded flat) to offer versatility and adhere to many lifestyles.

Infotainment and connectivity are real strengths of the all-new Q3 Sportback, with several innovations that set it apart from its closest competitors. High-value Audi features like the virtual cockpit, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, DAB+ digital radio, natural language voice control and both USB-A and USB-C charging points front and rear are just the start.

Wireless functionality is where the all-new Audi Q3 Sportback provides all-round convenience, equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay technology, as well as Audi phone box light with wireless smartphone charging, dual simultaneous Bluetooth phone connection and also the innovative convenience of Audi connect plus.

The 40 TFSI quattro all-wheel drive model is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 132kW and 320 Nm. The powertrain is matched to a seven-speed S tronic transmission that reaches 100km/h from rest in 7.8 seconds, returning 8.3 litres per 100km. CO2 emissions are 188 grams per km.

Other models in the line-up are powered by the 35 TFSI drivetrain, a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110kW and 250Nm. Mated to the smooth-shifting six-speed S tronic transmission that delivers power to the front wheels, strong performance and efficiency is assured. The Q3 Sportback 35 TFSI reaches 100km/h from rest in 9.3 seconds, returning 7.3 litres per 100km. CO2 emissions are 167 grams per km.

The all-new Audi Q3 Sportback has been awarded a 5-star ANCAP safety rating, and comes equipped with an extensive array of driver assistance safety systems, like Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane change warning, rear cross-traffic assist, tyre pressure monitors, hill descent control, as well as a comprehensive suite of parking sensors and rear view camera. The Q3 Sportback is equipped with six airbags and comes standard with progressive steering and Audi drive select on all model variants.

In addition to the key technology and driver assistance features, the all-new Q3 Sportback 35 TFSI S line comes equipped with a generous level of equipment, including:

  • Electric tailgate including gesture control
  • Two-zone climate control
  • Leather-appointed seat upholstery
