CX5 safety?

There are airbags, active lane control, active cruise control and multi-speed AEB, including low speed reverse. CX5 rated 5 stars ANCAP.

CX5 on the road?

Clever electronics do their thing in sharper. The strange sensation soon gives way to confidence.

Smooth roads have a velvety ride, and the cabin is extremely quiet on all but the worst of chip-tarmac.

Progressive Brakes take a little getting used to. Steering and transmission are smooth and silky.

7.7seconds to a hundred seems a trifle disappointing, but if you want real performance, you’ll pay much more for a Euro-Snob.

Fuel consumption: 8.2k/100L combined, and 6.9L/100k on a highway cycle.

Conclusion:

Mazda is impressive as a brand.

The SUV range is clearly aimed at a family, but active singles will like the cargo capacity, and ease of use.

The heated seats are comfortable and luxurious.

I like it, I like it a lot.
