CTEK MXS 5.0 Test & Charge Battery Charger

CTEK MXS 5.0 GIVEAWAY

CTEK MXS 5.0 – Flat batteries are a pain for drivers. I know because I have my own Pajero that often doesn’t get driven and consequently the battery dies quickly.

This is usually at the most inconvenient time.

Waiting for the NRMA, while they are extremely helpful, is often a consumer of time that many people just don’t have. It also doesn’t fix the ongoing problem of keeping the battery charged.

If you have to buy a new one they are expensive.

Now CTEK the innovative Swedish company that was the first to design a charger with electronic pulse technology, has the solution.

The CTEK MXS 5.0 Test and Charge Battery charger.

This product has three programs that test the battery voltage, starting power and the often forgotten alternator performance.

This will allow the owner to obtain a complete picture of their vehicles battery health and the alternator.

On top of this the CTEK MXS 5.0 Test and Charge also has a few extras not found commonly on chargers. These include:

  • a patented automatic desulphation program
  • a special Recond mode for reconditioning deeply discharged batteries, and
  • CTEK’s patented float/pulse system, which is the most efficient maintenance mode when a battery is connected for long periods.

For those amongst us that may be a little mechanically challenged, this charger has some built in protections with protection from reverse polarity, where you attach the cables to the wrong terminals. It also has a spark free operation, extremely important if you’ve ever seen battery explode.

If its left out in the weather it also happens to have IP65 splash and dust proof protection.

Finally there is an easy to read LED display and it operates on batteries from 1.2Ah through to 160Ah.

*) Back current drain is the current that drains the battery if the charger is not connected to the mains. CTEK chargers have a very low back current.

**) The quality of the charging voltage and charging current is very important. A high current ripple heats up the battery which has an aging effect on the positive electrode. High voltage ripple could harm other equipment that is connected to the battery. CTEK battery chargers produce very clean voltage and current with low ripple.
