STARIA Load Electric quick details

A 160kW, 350Nm electric powertrain draws energy from an 84kWh battery, giving STARIA Load Electric a WLTP driving range of up to 450km.

2027 STARIA Load Electric retains STARIA Load’s 4,935-litre cargo capacity and brings a 1,005kg payload and 2,000kg braked towing capacity, to deliver the model’s established practicality and carrying capability.

An interior Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlet allows STARIA Load Electric’s high-voltage battery to power electrical equipment via a standard three-pin outlet in the cargo area.

Available exclusively in a two-seat configuration, STARIA Load Electric can be specified with either Liftback or Twin Swing rear doors, with both variants priced from $70,990 MLP.

Electric-specific equipment includes 12.3-inch multimedia and instrument cluster displays, Shift-by-Wire drive selection, Lane Following Assist 2, a battery heating system and efficiency-enhancing heat pump technology.

2027 STARIA Load Electric will make its Australian public debut at the Everything Electric Sydney show, which runs from 18 to 20 September at Sydney Olympic Park.

“STARIA Load Electric brings Hyundai’s advanced electric vehicle technology to our commercial vehicle range while delivering the capability businesses have come to count on from Hyundai,” said Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Operating Officer, Gavin Donaldson.

“With up to 450 kilometres of range, ultra-fast 800-volt charging, a payload of more than a tonne and innovative features such as Vehicle-to-Load, 2027 STARIA Load Electric gives Australian businesses a highly capable all-electric workhorse,” he said.

2027 STARIA Load Electric Model Line-Up Overview

With the arrival of 2027 STARIA Load Electric, the model now gives customers a choice of turbo-diesel, Hybrid and all-electric powertrains.

All three powertrain options are offered in a two-seat configuration and retain the same 4,935-litre cargo capacity, with a choice of Liftback or Twin Swing rear doors.

2027 STARIA Load Electric

Electric Powertrain

2027 STARIA Load Electric brings an all-electric powertrain to the STARIA Load range, underpinned by Hyundai’s advanced 800V E-GMP architecture.

A 160kW, 350Nm electric motor draws energy from an 84kWh high-voltage battery and drives the front wheels.

STARIA Load Electric delivers up to 450km of WLTP driving range, combining zero tailpipe emissions with the range required for a broad variety of commercial duties.

The electric powertrain has been packaged without reducing STARIA Load’s 4,935-litre cargo capacity. Just as in turbo-diesel and Hybrid variants, STARIA Load’s cargo area is 2,607mm long, 1,640mm wide and 1,436mm high.

A 1,005kg payload, 2,000kg braked towing capacity and 750kg unbraked towing capacity further underline 2027 STARIA Load Electric’s commercial capability.

CHARGING & EV FEATURES

800V ultra-fast charging

2027 STARIA Load Electric’s 800V architecture enables DC fast charging at up to 350kW, allowing the 84kWh battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 20 minutes.

The charging port is positioned centrally at the front of the vehicle, providing straightforward access when pulling into a charging bay.

Vehicle-to-Load

An interior Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlet features on the right-hand side of the cargo area.

V2L allows STARIA Load Electric’s high-voltage battery to supply power through a standard three-pin outlet, providing a convenient source of electricity for tools, equipment and other devices while on the move or at a work site.

Battery heating system and heat pump

A battery heating system provides thermal management to help optimise battery performance and charging efficiency in cold conditions.

2027 STARIA Load Electric also features a heat pump designed to improve cabin heating efficiency while reducing the energy required from the high-voltage battery, to help maximise driving range.

EXTERIOR

2027 STARIA Load Electric retains the model’s one-curve silhouette while introducing a number of EV-specific exterior elements.

At the front, a smooth closed panel replaces the conventional grille to improve aerodynamic performance, and incorporates the charging port. A horizon garnish maintains the distinctive frontal graphic of the 2027 STARIA Load range.

Additional aerodynamic optimisation includes undercovers positioned beneath the front section and rear floor to manage underbody airflow and reduce drag.

Vertically integrated taillights complete STARIA Load’s distinctive rear treatment, while both Liftback and Twin Swing variants feature an ‘Electric’ badge.

2027 STARIA Load Electric rides on 17-inch steel wheels and is offered in Creamy White or Shimmering Silver.

INTERIOR

STARIA Load Electric shares the updated two-seat cabin and open centre console design introduced with 2027 STARIA Load, to provide ample storage and an uncluttered layout.

EV-specific interior features include a steering column-mounted Shift-by-Wire selector, which brings drive selection with an intuitive forward or backward twist of the stalk.

A 23.9-litre front trunk (frunk) provides useful additional storage.

Obsidian Black cloth upholstery is standard in 2027 STARIA Load Electric.

RIDE & REFINEMENT

2027 STARIA Load Electric brings EV-specific chassis and refinement measures designed to complement the smooth and quiet characteristics of its electric powertrain.

A Rack-mounted Motor Driven Power Steering (R-MDPS) sees assistance applied directly to the rack rather than to the steering column, to provide precise steering response.

Strut-mounted dynamic dampers designed to reduce road-induced booming and specially engineered sound-absorbing tyres that reduce tyre noise enhance cabin refinement.

Together, these measures help deliver a quiet and refined driving experience across a broad range of road conditions.

SAFETY

2027 STARIA Load Electric features seven airbags and an extensive suite of Hyundai SmartSense® driver assistance and active safety technologies, including second-generation Lane Following Assist 2, which provides enhanced steering assistance to help maintain the vehicle’s position within a lane.
