Actyon SUV – KGM, that was SsangYong then KGM SsangYong, has released details of the all new MY26 KGM Actyon SUV, the first fully developed and designed vehicle by KGM.

To accompany the new logo, KGM Australia will also add the new slogan, “KOREAN BUILT TO LAST.”
Actyon SUV Details Overview
Design
The all-new Actyon is a modern revival of the world’s first coupe-style SUV. Its sleek, contemporary design embodies a new brand philosophy, ‘Practical Creativity,’ blending style, practicality, and luxury.
A coupe-style that sets a new benchmark for urban SUVs with its dynamic and stylish coupe characteristics, perfectly suited to modern life. A design, ‘Powered by Toughness’, Actyon’s exterior exudes strength and elegance in equal measure, making it a bold and confident choice.
Shapes and motifs inspired by the Korean flag convey a powerful image and showcase KGM’s compelling and unique identity. They also enhance Actyon’s bold body stance and overall strong, voluminous feel.
Interior
Inside, the Actyon’s cabin exudes luxury and comfort with premium black quilted Nappa leather seats, red stitching, and quality soft-touch suede material on the door panels. Adding to the atmosphere is a mix of carbon fibre and woodgrain finishes, complimented by ambient mood lighting, which offers 32 different colours for personalisation, allowing drivers to create a relaxing atmosphere tailored to their preferences.
The impressive panoramic style 12.3” dual digital cluster and infotainment display offers all the latest connectivity including Apple CarPlayTM, Android AutoTM.
Actyon’s new steering wheel design incorporates the ‘KGM’ logo and includes two additional ‘quick access’ buttons, one to activate and deactivate auto-hold and the other can be customised to select your favourite from one of the thirteen different functions in the infotainment screen.
The front seats have 8-way power adjustment with an additional 2-way, powered lumbar support for the driver. Front headrests also have fore and aft adjustment with integrated hangers on the reverse side.
Convenience for the rear passengers includes accessory pockets with mobile phone holders, two USB charging ports and adjustable backrests, which can recline up to 32.5°.
Actyon SUV Space and Practicality
A coupe-style SUV with no compromise when it comes to space and practicality. The Actyon offers a generous 668 litres of cargo space, which expands to 1,568 litres with the rear seats folded down – capability equivalent to that of larger SUVs.
Access to the spacious load area is made easy with a powered tailgate, which includes hands-free, kick-motion operation.
The voluminous theme continues throughout the cabin with over a metre of headroom for all occupants, ensuring a comfortable journey for everyone.
The oversized door pockets include extra-large, 1.5L bottle holders with an additional, standard size holder in the front. There are two cup holders in the floating-style centre console and two in the fold-down rear centre armrest.
Safety
Actyon includes a host of standard safety features, combining intelligent technology and a comprehensive suite of the latest active and passive safety systems.
The bodyshell is built of an advanced high-strength construction using Hot Press Forming with 78% high-tensile automotive grade steel to minimise deformation in a collision and maximise occupant protection.
Performance
At the heart of the Actyon is a 120Kw, 1.5L direct injection turbocharged petrol engine producing a responsive 280Nm of torque. Fuel efficiency and reduced tailpipe emissions are thanks, in part, to its Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system and Euro 6 emissions standard, delivering combined fuel consumption of 7.6 L/100km and 174 g/km combined CO2 emissions.
This advanced powertrain is paired with a 3rd generation Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifts, is designed to provide smooth shifts and responsive performance. Coupled with noise-cancelling Michelin tyres to ensure a serene driving experience.
