Toyota launched the all-new RAV4 early in 2019 with improved performance, safety, technology, style and refinement. Included was the first petrol electric Hybrid RAV 4.

The hybrid system combines a 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor generator that drives through a CVT, providing the most powerful drivetrain in the range with combined maximum outputs of around 160kW.  Hybrid versions come 2WD and AWD and in GX, GXL and Cruiser grades.
