Mazda MX-5 GT Convertible 2023 Review

MX-5 GT Convertible – Occasionally when I am testing cars, I get lucky. Sometimes we get a convertible like the Mazda MX-5 and the weather is beautiful.  2023 Mazda MX-5 GT Convertible Black roof front quarter 1

So, it was on a sunny Easter weekend that we lowered the convertible top in the MX-5 and headed off for a drive. Sunglasses on, fresh air and the open road. Pity about the Easter traffic.

That’s what the MX-5 is all about.

The latest model now comes exclusively with the 2.0 litre engine, revised suspension settings and some cosmetic updates. There is also a choice between a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

Over the years it has grown a little, got a bit heavier and now has more safety, comfort and luxury features.

But the core of the MX-5 hasn’t changed since it was first released way back in 1989. The MX-5 is a two-seat rear wheel drive sports car. It’s all about driving fun and there possibly isn’t a better-balanced sports convertible around.

There are four models available, and we drove the MX-5 GT Convertible with black roof. It is priced from $54,892 plus the usual costs.

In a rapidly changing automotive world, sports cars like the Mazda MX-5 are special.
