KIA Stinger PE 200 GT-LINE 2021 Radio Review

Kia updated their Stinger in December 2020 with safety and convenience features. I drove a micro Blue 200GT with red Nappa leather, a stylish combination.

The main improvements over some subtle evolutionary style changes are the new 10.25 inch infotainment system with Bluetooth multi connectivity, improved safety features including cyclist detection and the in dash blind spot cameras that appear when the indicators are activated.

Stinger 200GT is powered by a 2.0L turbo 4 Cylinder engine that produces 182 kW of power and 353 Nm of torque with quad exhaust tips. The 200GT provides an alternative to the 3.3LGT with 0-100kmh times of 6.0 seconds which is still relatively quick.

However it’s the everyday driving that makes the Stinger so brilliant, it will happily potter along at 50kmh around town, yet find a twisty road or the freeway and it will lift its skirt and sprint away providing excellent driver engagement.

Stinger 200GT is priced from around $57,730 plus the usual costs and remains a stylish executive sports lift back that fills a niche in demand left by the departure of the sports Commodore and Falcon.
