Hyundai I30 Active Sedan 2021 Radio Review

When you think of Hyundai i30 you think of a hatch, yet this week I drove a i30 sedan version.

With the push towards SUVs and hatchbacks, the smaller sedan segment is slowly dying yet there are a number of good cars there. The Hyubdai i30 sedan being one.

This week I drove the entry level Active 2.0L petrol version with a 6 seed automatic. The combination was adequate without being exciting.

The active model features as standard a leather interior, rear camera and rear parking sensors, and wireless (Qi standard) smartphone charging.

It also has a large 10 inch digital screen for the instruments in front of the driver. Having leather seats in the base model is a welcome bonus. They are comfortable and practical.

I30 Active also boasts SmartSense^TM advanced safety technologies, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist and more.

Its also surprisingly stylish with sleek lines and a presence beyond its price. I tend to prefer the practicality of a hatch or wagon but the sedan adds a welcome alternative choice at around $26.790 plus the usual costs its not bad value either.

• No lumbar support
• Overly angular styling on profile
• Lacking a few features for the price
