Toyota Fortuner GX 4WD 2021 Radio Review

2020 Toyota Fortuner GX.Toyota upgrades their mid-sized Fortuner with the engine we should have had all along. Fortuner has been a success for Toyota, based on the HiLux the 4WD wagon is aimed at the true enthusiast, especially in GX guise, which I drove last week.

Updated in August the Fortuner now has 150kW of power and 500Nm of torque from its 2.8L engine and it really shows both on and off road as well as better fuel economy.

The entry level GX model now comes with dark grey interior with comfortable fabric seats, improved smartphone connectivity, button operated 8-inch multimedia screen, and enhanced safety features. GX can be specified with satellite navigation7 and DAB digital radio8 for $1,0001.

Towing capacity is now 3100kg and GX comes with a standard rear diff lock.

I’ve driven the Fortuner on outback roads, on the beach, forest trails, heavy duty 4WD tracks, I’ve towed with it and driven it on freeways. It’s a great all round 4WD.

Fortuner GX is priced from a touch over $49,000 plus the usual costs and forms an excellent base vehicle to accessorize.
