Subaru Outback 6th Generation Radio Review

Subaru’s Outback can trace its history back to the mid 70’s and the first real crossover wagon, the Leone. Now the 6th generation takes the outback and crossover concept to new levels.

The new models comes in three variants, the Outback, Outback Sport and the Outback Touring. There is one engine, a revised 2.5L Boxer engine mated to an 8 slot CVT.

Prices for the new model range from just under $40,000 for the Outback through to just under $48,000 for the touring, plus the usual costs.

Key highlights of the latest model include a new 11.6 inch centre screen, heated front and rear outer seats, larger interior, 2000kg towing capacity, improved Eye Sight safety features, rear camera washer and a host of other upgrades.

How good is the Outback as a crossover, well the premium Active Torque Split AWD that delivers permanent drive to all four wheels, dual-mode X-MODE and about 213mm of ground clearance means that it is possibly the best AWD SUV on the market for the adventurous buyer.

It also happens to be a screaming bargain.
