RAM 2500 Sport Appearance Pickup Radio Review

2019 RAM 2500 Sport 1 exteriorThe Ute is an Australian invention, designed by a farmer to take the pigs to market on Friday and the wife to church on Sunday. We have Utes, then there are bigger Utes and even bigger Utes like the American Pick Up trucks. Rob Fraser has spent a week in one of those.

I have to admit I have a particular affinity for large American Pick Up Trucks like the Ram 2500 Sport.

It’s big, bold and brash and dwarfs almost anything parked alongside.

With a 6.7L Cummins diesel and a massive 276 kW of power and 1084Nm of torque at 1600rpm you can quite literally pull out a tree stump.

Its packed with features such as air-conditioned front seats, heated steering wheel, fold away mirrors, bilstein tuned suspension and more.

Ideal for anyone who is towing a large caravan or a horse float. It also makes a great outback tourer.

From around $145,000 plus the usual costs its actually outstanding value when you compare it to the cost and capability of other large 4WDs.

RAM trucks in Australia start out in the factory as RHD vehicles and have a factory backed warranty. Also the remanufacturing facilities in Melbourne employ some 300 Australians. Its on my Christmas wish list.
