Peugeot 508 GT Fastback 2020 Lifestyle Review

Peugeot 508 GT Fastback exterior 1Peugeot 508 GT Fastback was launched in 2019 and immediately it became a style icon for large cars. Its simply stunning. Looks are one thing, how does it fit my lifestyle as its not the usual type of car I would look at for a early twenty something female.

508 Fit for purpose-

The 508 GT Fastback is a fantastic option for someone looking for an every-day driving car. Excelling in aesthetic design and comfort the Peugeot is a luxurious drive offering a great deal of comfort for its price.

While it is big it sits four in comfort and has ample room for luggage etc

It’s very enjoyable for either dreary peak hour traffic or going on long driving holidays for both small families or couples.

508 Design-

Visually the 508 GT is eye catching, having a bold and confident exterior. The pleasing curves making it look sporty and sleek.

All of this style continues on the inside, offering a very admirable look that oozes chic.

The leather seats, spacious interior and stylish dash make the inside feel plush, sporty, luxurious and of course comfortable.

The boot is fairly generous for the size and a sedan, whether you’re travelling with friends or going on holidays, it will easily fit a weekend away of luggage. I love this liftback design as it still maintains a sleek sedan look with huge practicality. Similar to the Kia Stinger GT and Genesis G70

508 Performance –

The 508 GT fastback is a pleasure to drive, continuing the attitude of comfort bias. The 508 Gt, with 165kW and an 8 speed auto provides comfortable cruising around the suburbs or going on road trips.

Overall it gives the driver smooth drive and acceleration, sticking to corner nicely and feels zippy to drive around. Although I feel it could use a little more power it is a balanced all-rounder.

The fuel economy is decent sitting around 6.8L/100km average for all the driving we did.

508 Comfort-

Peugeot has done it right with comfort for this car.

The seats are soft, with a wonderful massage function for the front seats, incredible for long trips or even just taking the pain out of peak hour traffic. When you mix massage seats with seat warmers it becomes a wonderfully pleasurable drive. I got to work on cold days and didn’t want to get out of the car so I sat for a while enjoying the warmth and massage.

The seats are also supportive with an added bonus of extendable thigh support. Even for the back seats the comfort continues, they don’t get the massage function but there is plenty of room continuing the luxurious feeling throughout the whole car.

The comfort of the car is continued with all the fancy features, with a cordless phone charge bay, clean touchscreen dashboard, heads up display, all the fancy functions you would want, such as apple car play and android auto connectivity, Bluetooth, great sound system and climate control, along with front and rear parking camera and senses, along with a self-park system and many safety features.

508 Verdict-

If you guessed that I really liked the 508 GT you would be right.

This is a very delightful care to drive and for its price range you a getting your money’s worth in comfort, features and an all-round style. If you are looking for a slightly more luxurious sedan then this is the one for you.
