Mercedes Maybach S-Class details
In 2026, The latest Mercedes-Maybach S-Class continues this legacy by combining advanced Mercedes-Benz technology with exceptional craftsmanship, introducing the newest generation of MBUX infotainment, expanded driver assistance technologies, sophisticated styling revisions and a new Maybach variant for the Australian market.
The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class presents an even more distinguished expression, led by a radiator grille that is 20 per cent larger and for the first time, incorporates the Maybach wordmark subtly illuminated within the grille frame. Revised front and rear styling, new DIGITAL LIGHT headlamps accented by touches of rose gold and redesigned tail lamp graphics further enhances the S-Class’s unmistakable presence.
Underscoring the craftsmanship synonymous with the Mercedes-Maybach brand, are new 20-inch Maybach forged wheels. The forged wheels feature an intricate ball bearing mechanism that keeps the Mercedes-Benz star perfectly upright while driving.
Updated powertrains and advanced ride comfort
Joining the Australian range, the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 introduces a new V8 powertrain that delivers up to 395 kW and 750 Nm.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 680, at the pinnacle of the S-Class lineup, continues to be powered by its handcrafted 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine. Producing up to 463 kW and 900 Nm, it remains the ultimate expression of smoothness, performance and exclusivity.
Additional insulation measures further improve noise and vibration suppression, creating an even more serene driving experience. Complementing this is the dedicated MAYBACH driving mode within DYNAMIC SELECT, engineered entirely around supreme ride comfort.
The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is equipped as standard with 4.5-degree rear-axle steering, enhancing maneuverability in urban environments while maintaining exceptional stability at motorway speeds. An optional 10-degree rear-axle steering system further reduces the turning circle for even greater agility.
Elevating ride comfort is the standard AIRMATIC suspension and in the S 580, the E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL features intelligent damping technology that proactively adapts to road conditions. Using Car-to-X-information¹, speed bumps detected by dedicated vehicle sensors are stored in the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud for up to 14 days, allowing the suspension to prepare in advance whenever another equipped Mercedes-Benz or Mercedes-Maybach vehicle approaches the same obstacle.

A new level of digital sophistication arrives in the Mercedes-Maybach range for the first time, with the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). The purpose-built supercomputer enables over-the-air updates across numerous vehicle functions via the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud and helps to ensure the S-Class continues to evolve throughout its lifecycle.
Inside the cabin, advanced technology is complemented by the meticulous craftsmanship that characterises Maybach. The standard MBUX Superscreen unites the 14.4-inch central touchscreen with an additional front passenger display under a single sheet of glass, transforming the interior into an expansive digital cockpit with faster processing, richer graphics and greater personalisation. Intuitive personalised experience
Offering intuitive command of climate, blinds and rear-seat entertainment, rear-seat passengers are immersed in their own digital environment through the standard MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment system. The system features two 13.1-inch displays, individually configurable remote controls and integrated cameras for video calls.
The cabin atmosphere is further refined through the new Digital Vent Control which intelligently adjusts airflow to suit the selected ventilation setting. At the same time, the advanced electric filtration system AIR BALANCE refreshes and purifies the cabin air approximately every 90 seconds.
Adding a new dimension of comfort, heated front seat belts are now included as standard for the first time, rapidly warming up to 44 degrees Celsius to reduce the need for additional clothing layers in the car. They are complemented by steering wheel heating and heated armrests in the front and rear.
Completing the sensory experience is the standard Burmester® High-End 4D surround sound system with Dolby Atmos®. Equipped with 31 speakers, 8 seat-integrated exciters and a total system power of 1,610 watts, it delivers exceptional clarity, depth and immersion. The intensity of the exciters can also be individually adjusted for each seat, creating a personalised sound experience throughout the cabin.

Powered by innovative micro-LED technology and a new high-performance chip, the system expands the high-resolution illumination field by approximately 40 per cent compared with the previous system. With a range of up to 600 metres, this enables brighter, more efficient high beams.
