Kia Sorento GT Line 2021 Radio Review

Kia released their fourth generation Sorento late in 2020 and it takes it to new levels. Kia Sorento has been at the top of its segment ever since it was first released in 2003.

A multiple winner of OzRoamer COTY awards, the latest Sorento is without doubt the best yet and rivals the European SUVs.

Top of the range is the GT Line has a list of safety, comfort and luxury features way too extensive to list here but the highlights are a 12.3-inch digital driver instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and navigation system at the centre of the dashboard.

One thing I Particularly liked is the in dash camera that operates with the indicators showing the blind spot either side. An excellent idea.

The engine pick is the new 2.2-litre diesel, producing 148kW and 440Nm torque with the AWD system and driving through a new DCT. I prefer the 8 speed transmission of the petrol engine though.

With a longer wheelbase, revised suspension and drivetrain, the ride and handling and general quietness of the new Sorento is outstanding. It truly has to be driven to appreciate just how good the Sorento GT Line actually is.

To add to the equation there are the KIA owner benefits as well as a price just shy of $65,000 drive away.

Im Rob Fraser.
