Hyundai Palisade 2.2L CRDi AWD 2021 Review

Hyundai Palisade is another alternative for transporting a family around. We drove the seven seat top spec Highlander version and really enjoyed it.

Palisade is BIG yet well-proportioned with dynamics and quietness that belies its size and will comfortably fit the family and luggage for that holiday or trip to the snow, which we had intended to do but the Sydney Covid lockdown put an end to that.

Palisade is powered by a 2.2L diesel engine that produces 147kW and 440Nm driving through a smooth 8 speed sports AT and AWD.

This is a well-tested and practical configuration that is easy to drive with enough oomph when needed.

Inside it is spacious and has a premium feel to the cabin. The driver’s seat is very comfortable with multiple adjustments and you simply ease into the drive mode. The ride is smooth, handling is good for a family wagon and you can easily drive for hours feeling quite relaxed.

As you would expect it is packed with all the safety, comfort and luxury features that Hyundai can fit in there.

Pricing is a touch under $75,000 for the 2.2L Highlander, plus the usual costs. Its getting a bit pricey but you get a lot for your money.
