Subaru Australia showcases its largest-ever electrification range at Everything Electric
Subaru Australia will showcase its largest-ever electrified vehicle range at Everything Electric Sydney this weekend, highlighting a significant year of growth and investment in the brand’s electrification strategy.
Taking place at Sydney Showground from 18–20 September, Everything Electric will give visitors the opportunity to get up close with Subaru’s expanded range of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), with the all-new Subaru Uncharted, Solterra and Trailseeker all on display.
Alongside its BEV range, Subaru will also showcase the Forester Strong Hybrid, demonstrating the brand’s broader approach to electrification and giving visitors the opportunity to experience both hybrid and battery electric technology in Subaru SUVs.
Together, the four vehicles represent a significant expansion of Subaru’s electrified offering in Australia, while retaining the characteristics that have long defined the brand, including Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, confident handling and capability across a wide range of road and weather conditions.

Three All Electric models in the model range
“We’ve launched two all-new BEV models with Trailseeker and Uncharted, expanding the range to three electrified options across small, medium and large SUVs. And all three electric models have the same Subaru engineering philosophy Australian drivers have loved for decades.”
For Subaru, the expansion of its electrified range is about more than simply adding new powertrains. It is about bringing the characteristics customers expect from a Subaru into a new generation of vehicles.
The Subaru Uncharted brings electric performance and compact SUV versatility to the range, with 252kW of power, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and 211mm of ground clearance1. The Solterra continues Subaru’s all-electric offering in the medium SUV segment, while the Trailseeker extends the BEV range into a larger, all-terrain format, combining 280kW of power, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and 211mm of ground clearance1.
The Forester Strong Hybrid takes a different approach to electrification, pairing a 2.5-litre Boxer engine with a 90kW electric motor and 1.1kWh battery to produce 145kW of combined power. The no-plug-in hybrid system can also drive on electric power at low speeds, while retaining Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Together, the vehicles demonstrate how Subaru is expanding its electrified offering across different vehicle sizes and customer needs, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to electrification.

Test drives will be available throughout the weekend, giving customers the opportunity to experience Subaru’s new BEVs on the road and discover first-hand how instant electric performance, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Subaru’s approach to vehicle dynamics come together.

GAC Australia has offered a glimpse into the future of its expanding range in the Australian market, following the unveiling of the GAC S7 at Everything Electric Sydney.
A model that will enter global right-hand-drive production during the second half of 2027, GAC is proactively looking to add the premium plug-in-hybrid SUV to its local lineup, with this weekend’s event offering the prime opportunity for prospective customers to offer feedback well in advance of a potential future debut.

GAC S7 features AWD power delivery through two electric motors
The S7 features AWD power delivery through two electric motors – one front and one rear – producing 170kW/220Nm and 80kW/250Nm respectively. Paired with a 36.3kWh Magazine Battery, the S7 can deliver up to 150km1 of pure electric range for daily driving. While a 1.5T petrol engine delivers added flexibility for longer road trips. Thanks to a combined range of up to 1,020km2 (International specifications referenced).
Alongside the S7, GAC showcased the AION UT. A compact hatch that recently won the Torino Automotive Design Award for Exterior Design. And the brand’s mid-sized SUV, AION V. Both models featured a raft of accessories. Ranging from exterior body kits that deliver a more distinctive look, to lifestyle-focused offerings including a full camping setup.
Completing the range on display was the M8 PHEV. Australia’s only plug-in hybrid MPV priced from $76,590. It is the perfect model for executives and fleets. Featuring some of the most luxurious central captain’s armchair seats in the sector. Riding on electromagnetic suspension. Cosseted by acoustic glass and with a range of 1,032km fully charged and fuelled. It has the capability to stay on the move for extensive chauffeuring duties at a much more attainable price point.

Chery Group to showcases new models across four brands at Everything Electric Australia
For the first time in Australia, the Chery Group will showcase the breadth of its rapidly expanding electrified vehicle portfolio at Everything Electric Australia in Sydney on 18 September, with visitors able to see vehicles from five brands spanning battery electric, hybrid and electrified powertrain technologies.
The Chery Group display will bring together the Chery, Omoda Jaecoo, Lepas and iCAUR brands, providing an insight into the Group’s growing presence in the Australian market and its strategy to offer consumers a broad range of electrified mobility solutions.
The display will feature several models making their Australian public appearance, including the Chery Stockman, Chery E5, Omoda 4, Omoda 7, iCAUR V25 and Lepas L6 BEV and L4 BEV.
The diverse line-up reflects Chery Group’s expanding approach to electrification, with each brand targeting different customer needs and segments of the Australian market.
Chery will showcase the new diesel hybrid Stockman ute alongside the updated E5 electric vehicle, highlighting the brand’s continued investment in electrified vehicles while also exploring new opportunities in the Australian market.
Omoda Jaecoo will present the new Omoda 4 and Omoda 7, further expanding the brand’s electrified SUV offering and giving Australian consumers an early look at future models.
The iCAUR V25 will provide another highlight of the display. Showcasing the distinctive design and technology-focused approach of Chery Group’s emerging electric vehicle brand.
Also making their first public appearances will be the Lepas L6 BEV and L4 BEV models. The first models from the new LEPAS brand to be introduced to Australia.
Chery Group’s participation in Everything Electric comes as the Group continues to expand its Australian operations. And introduce new brands and models to the local market.
