Audi A1 Sportback launched

Audi_A1_Sportback_40_TFSIAudi has just launched a new version of their smallest passenger car the A1 back onto the market after they ran out of suppliers of the previous model, earlier in the year.  David Brown says it’s an important car for Audi.

Passenger car sales, sedans, hatchbacks and station wagons have been declining in Australia significantly.  Audi’s A1 sportsback (which is more hatchback than station wagon), is still very critical for them because it is their entry level, lowest priced vehicle (never say cheapest). The preference is to be lower priced than their German Competitors

The A1 is an important way for some people start with the brand or existing owners to downsize.

The latest 2nd generation design is more masculine in looks.

There are three engine options from a three-cylinder turbo up to a four cylinder hot hatch motor.

A great digital dash, confident in performance but missing a few simple comfort features unless you upgrade it is priced from $32,350 – $46,450
