2019 VW Polo Trendline Lifestyle Review

2018 Volkswagen Polo 70TSI Trendline Manual.VW Polo Trendline has grown a bit over the years. It now is the larger cousin of the small hatch segment. Being roughly the same size as the original Golf it is ideally suited to being an urban runabout that can double as a weekend tourer. Brianna and Alex take it for a spin.

Fit for purpose-

Brianna: Polo can do all you need for weekend trips away, everyday driving and even needing to fill it up with a trip to Bunnings or Kmart. There’s even enough room to help move boxes for a house move. For the size it fits a great amount and for the price you get a value car.

Alex: Amazing value for a vehicle that has many different features. Its surprisingly powerful for its small engine and great for everyday driving.

Design-

Brianna: The exterior had a cute smooth look to it, one that you would expect when talking about a hatch back. Interior was nothing too fancy but the dash was clean and spacious and had all you need with the multimedia system.

Alex: Polo looks polished and sleek in both interior and exterior and has a sharp looking multimedia panel which I enjoyed. Wouldn’t rave about the design of the hatch as I thought it was pretty stock standard however it had all you needed and looked nice.

Performance –

Brianna: Polo is a zippy car, smooth and handles very well, good fuel economy and surprisingly powerful. Even though it was small it had plenty of room and I could even fit my whole flower wall and stand in it for my hire business. We traveled into the city in torrential rain and felt very safe in the car, handling the weather and corners well.

Alex: A powerful car for the size of its 1.0L engine, didn’t feel like I had to push it hard to get it up to speed. Found it smooth handling and suspension and steering felt effortless. Thought handled very well overall in all driving experiences.

Comfort –

Brianna: I found this VW really comfortable, had great amount of leg space in the front and could push the chair all the way back to have a rest when need to wait in the car. I would be more then comfortable in this car for any long trip and the boot is decent sized to fill up for a holiday.

Alex: Found the seats not very comfortable for my size however the space was fairly functional for the car size. Boot space was clever and any small trips wouldn’t be too bad to travel in.

Verdict-

Brianna: I really enjoyed this car from my everyday driving in peak hour traffic to traveling into the city in bad weather and the car packed full for my hire business, to taking it away for a road trip. Really great value for money with this car and I would highly recommended it for anyone.

Alex: Overall for its price range its actually a very good buy, with the stand out feature for me being the amount of grunt it gives and the functionality of the cabin and its boot space. Would recommend it for any guy or girl who wants a sleek, stylish city runabout.
