Honda Jazz 5 star ANCAP

2011 Honda Jazz 5 star ANCAP

Many people looking to buy a small car want it to look good and have loads of features. They also want it to be packed full of the latest safety technology. So how do we satisfy all these needs with one small car?

Meet the Honda Jazz.

The recently updated Honda Jazz is very safety conscious and has a five-star ANCAP* rating – the highest possible – across the entire range.

What makes the Jazz five-star? Let’s start with airbags. The Honda Jazz has six of them – two front airbags for the driver and passenger, two side airbags and two full length curtain airbags that can help to prevent injury from a side impact, particularly head injury.

What about electronic stability control? The Jazz has Honda’s Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) as standard across the range, that combines individual brake control, engine power and Traction Control (TCS) to maintain vehicle stability in critical situations.

Jazz also features Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) Body Structure that helps protect the driver and passengers in the unfortunate event of an accident. The ACE Body Structure uses the Jazz’s chassis, made in some parts from high tensile steel, to direct the energy from an impact away from the people inside.

Jazz’s Multi Information Display, housed in the instrument panel, also features audible safety alerts to let the driver know if the door isn’t closed, or if any passengers have forgotten to buckle their seatbelt.

Speaking of seatbelts, when Jazz detects a frontal impact, its front seatbelts instantly tighten to secure occupants, then gradually release to limit pressure on the chest.

Honda Australia’s General Manager, Sales and Marketing Mr. Stephen Collins said: “Jazz has five-star safety across the entire range, which is not common in the light segment. Jazz combines all this advanced technology and is also stylish, versatile, outstanding value for money and great fun to drive.”
